Bills Data – What would you like to see ?

The team is investigating options for Parliamentary Bills data onto Data.Parliament. Something that could help us in our approach is knowing what sort of queries people want to do, or what sort of services might be created. Also understanding whether people are interested from a legal or political viewpoint. Also focussing what basic data would be helpful, and in which formats. Let us know!

    Query bills:
    by type e.g. public
by status e.g. 1st reading etc etc
by Mp, whos involved with this bill

Being able to query a bills schedule would be useful aswell.

      Hi John

We have just completed our bills dataset migration and will be available in the next month or so. Some of the queries you have asked for above will be possible. The dataset does include Bill Sponsor.

Hi Zeid – is it possible for your ‘commonsdivisons’ api to include a reference somewhere to the original Bill as show in the bills api? For instance the commonsdivisions data may include a title “Electricity” with a commonsdivision item “486084”, but there’s no link that I can find to the Bill that (eventually) led to that division.

Is it possible to include that kind of a link – or is there a method already available to link the two?

    Best regards
    Dean
